Statement on NHTSA’s Final Rule on Occupant Protection for Vehicles with ADS

Washington D.C. - Today the Self-Driving Coalition released the following statement from Ariel Wolf, counsel to the Coalition, after NHTSA’s Final Rule on Occupant Protection for Vehicles with ADS.

“By addressing barriers to innovation while preserving the important safety protections afforded to vehicle occupants by NHTSA’s current standards, NHTSA’s Final Rule is a step forward for autonomous vehicle (AV) technology and design. The Self-Driving Coalition looks forward to continuing work with NHTSA to promote the safe testing and deployment of AVs.”
