AV Industry Statement on Kentucky HB 7
Washington, D.C. - The Autonomous Vehicle Industry Association issued the following statement from chief executive officer Jeff Farrah on Kentucky HB 7, creating a legal framework for autonomous vehicles (AVS) to operate safely in the Commonwealth:
“Autonomous vehicles will make Kentucky’s roads safer, spur economic growth, create new accessibility options, and boost the Commonwealth’s status as a supply chain and logistics leader. HB 7 is a major investment in Kentucky’s infrastructure,” said Jeff Farrah, CEO for the Autonomous Vehicle Industry Association. “Kentucky now becomes the 25th state to pass a legal framework for the safe operation of AVs. The AV industry thanks Commonwealth lawmakers for recognizing this technology’s tremendous opportunities for the Bluegrass State.”
