AVIA Welcomes Director of Communications and Marketing
WASHINGTON – The Autonomous Vehicle Industry Association (AVIA) announced today that Cody Uhing is joining the organization as Director of Communications and Marketing. Uhing will oversee the organization’s communications and marketing strategies, promoting AVIA’s policy priorities and advancing the organization's goals.
“We are excited to have Cody join AVIA as Director of Communications and Marketing,” said Jeff Farrah, CEO of the Autonomous Vehicle Industry Association. “Cody brings more than a decade of experience in policy communications and marketing that will enable AVIA to strengthen and expand its role as the voice of the autonomous vehicle industry.”

Prior to joining AVIA, Uhing was the director communications and media relations for AdvaMed, the world’s largest trade association representing medical technology companies. He also served as communications director for Congressman Brad Ashford (D-NE) and Tom O’Halleran (D-AZ), with extensive experience on the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
AVIA works with lawmakers, regulators, and the public to realize the safety and societal benefits of autonomous vehicles. As the unified voice of the AV industry, the association is comprised of companies with diverse technical expertise and experience in the technology, automobile, ridehail, trucking, and logistics sectors. Bringing together their varied backgrounds, the companies formed AVIA to advance AVs’ tremendous safety, mobility and economic benefits to consumers in the safest and swiftest manner possible.
